Signing Ceremony of the MOU between National Taipei University and Spedur on AI-Driven Sustainable Innovation in International Bilingual Education

On September 5, 2025 (Friday), 15:00–16:00, National Taipei University held the signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on International Bilingual Educational Technology and AI Sustainability Innovation with Speeter Trading Co., Ltd. The event took place at Room 3F06, College of Commerce, Sanxia Campus.

This collaboration responds to the core needs of bilingual families in Taiwan and Canada. Taiwanese parents are focused on student achievement and future competitiveness under the “Bilingual Nation 2030 Policy,” while Chinese-Canadian families seek to maintain heritage language and cultural connections through technological tools. Both sides recognize that AI-powered digital learning companions can serve as the best bridge to connect these educational demands.

The project also resonates with the College of Commerce’s USR (University Social Responsibility) initiative, “Promoting a Low-Carbon and Inclusive Living Circle in the San-Ying-Shu Area.” Through the “AiBiLingua Project,” both parties will co-create an innovative learning platform integrating AI, bilingual education, and sustainable development, linking education, communities, and industries to nurture future talents with cross-cultural communication skills and global perspectives.

During the ceremony, Vice President and Distinguished Professor Yu-Shan Chang delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing that this collaboration demonstrates NTPU’s determination to advance educational technology and internationalization, while creating broader learning opportunities through cross-border cooperation and social responsibility practices.

Following this, Chairwoman Juan-Che Yang of Speeter remarked:
“Speeter has long been devoted to fostering international educational exchanges. Partnering with National Taipei University to integrate AI technologies, bicultural education resources, and sustainability concepts in nurturing the next generation’s bilingualism and global competitiveness is both our honor and mission.”

Professor Shu-Hua Li, Associate Dean of the College of Commerce, noted that the college has consistently promoted corporate sustainability and low-carbon transformation. This collaboration echoes the college’s USR mission, aiming to jointly advance education and community development.

Professor Min-Yuh Day, Director of the Graduate Institute of Information Management, shared his vision:
“This partnership with Speeter not only highlights NTPU’s R&D strengths in educational technology and artificial intelligence, but also underscores our commitment to bilingual education and sustainable USR. Through AiBiLingua, we aspire to provide a more practical bilingual learning environment and empower parents to support their children’s language and cultural learning journey.”

Professor Hui-Ju Tsai, Head of the Division of International Education Development, Office of International Affairs, stressed that more international exchange resources will be integrated in the future to expand cross-border cooperation and enhance NTPU students’ global competitiveness.

Additionally, Mr. Lien-Fu Shih, Chairman of the Association for Senior Wellness and Alumni Development; Mr. Chih-Ju Chen, Founder and Chairman of Yuan-Chih Family Office; and Mr. Chih-Kang Li, Chairman of Shulin Distillery, also addressed the event. They pledged to continue supporting the partnership between NTPU and Speeter, creating greater synergies across industry, community, and education.
